'Cars' stunt
I must admit I loved Cars. It was fun, and the message about sportsmanship and teamwork was portrayed very powerfully. I was a bit foxed by a trick that Doc teaches Lightning McQueen -- how to turn right by steering left! So I was happy to find this article on Popular Science which gave me a reasonable explanation.

The International Space Station
It's an enormous 300-ton thing orbiting the earth (that's more than a fully loaded Airbus 340). So how did we get something that big up into space? Simple, it was built in space. Rather, it was assembled there. Here's a feature celebrating 10 years of the ISS.
